BREAKING NEWS: LAKERS HIRE MIKE D’ANTONI

In a stunning turn of events, Phil Jackson will not (as I certainly thought) be returning to coach the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have, instead, hired Mike D’Antoni.

This is a very interesting turn of events, as it reunites Steve Nash with his former coach from the Suns 7SOL era.

I’m not sure what my feelings are on this. I think it could go either way in terms of success.

Personally, I’m not sure if I see it working out too well. But, you never can tell with the Lakers. Despite apparent, unavoidable early chemistry issues, a line-up of Bryant, Howard, Gasol, and Nash is going to begood.

I can see Kobe and D’Antoni having some issues, but I do also remember them seeming to have a relatively good relationship…

This NBA Season has no shortage of fascinating story lines, and the Lakers are going to be one interesting story to follow.

D’Antoni has reportedly been signed to a a 4-year deal, because Phil Jackson was asking for too much.

I saw the news first reported on Twitter by Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times.

NO.

Yeah..

This Twitter Q&A is a fail.

David Stern currently answering questions about the lockout via the NBA Twitter account.

It’s rather odd.

I’m trying to picture David Stern sitting at a computer, trying to come up with 140 character answers.

I will not leave my computer until it is done.

I… can’t. I just can’t anymore.. Just… shut up. Players with Twitter.. just.. shut up.

I hope they don’t think that any of these ridiculous tweets are helping their cause.

Also, I wish people would stop saying “smh.”
It’s the worst acronym ever.
EVER.

Are you kidding me? Did this actually happen?
